HOUSE Manifesto No. 0332 – Often what is most understood about interior design is the aesthetic value communicated through a given spaces’ décor. However creative I can be stylizing an interior, it is the overall envelope that sets the emotional tone. What this means is the that varying ceiling heights, spatial proportions & the wavering abundance of natural light overall dictates how we are moved by a bare interior space. To dial up or down the drama of interiors, consider manipulating the structural bones of your envelope by the way of puncturing archways, addition of screens or even interior balconies such as the one I am pictured within at the Paris Opera, all in all allowing for new perspectives for you to appreciate your interior design.
